my goal with all of this get together activities, to have some chicago based group for tuning and touring and such. There is a lot of talent here on this forum and some others but I feel that the miataturbo group is very a like minded and if we worked together to build better cars sharing some talent and even entertain with some drives we could get a lot accomplished.

My personal goal is to host a dyno day twice a year. once in spring and once in late fall so everyone can gauge their progress. I also have some local routes and some long distance routes to plan as a group that Id like to do. depending on the dates next year im going to do the dragons tale, pikes peak hill climb with a tour of flyin miata in there and some short trips. It depends on when W.R.C. Deutschland is which i plan on going to again in august

 

Dont forget us festiva guys! I can put a miata badge on if you like lol.

I did enjoy meeting more people from here, I think we should try and plan a last hoorah before the weather turns to complete garbage.

 

2nd time on the dyno. Number was lower than I thought. Three pulls doesn't really allow you to do much to find max brake torque. I wasn't willing to change my conservative timing and it was suggested by Mondo to check #4 for coil and injector issues. Also since I was running a 3.63 instead of a 3.9 would that have any effect?

As far as a end of the year drive goes, maybe out to Starved Rock. Route 6-ish has some interesting roads and you can come back on I-80 if your pressed for time after lunch. Other wise, we can choose the same or different roads on the way back.

i have the 2002 to 2005 one. i know you know i do

 

So I turned the boost up just a hair. Last data log shows it hit 239 kpa falling off to 219kpa. Injectors cant keep up worth a **** and it leans out to 12.9 up top. Also the clutch is giving off that wonderful smell of death. Ain't even mad.

 

Just a hair is the best unit of measurement ever.
