Should have asked Performance Development to procure some from Powersports. :P

It sounds like a perfect marketing opportunity, but for a massive corporation like Honda, getting the left hand to talk to the right hand requires planetary alignment.

HPD wasn't interested in helping us in that regard. We made a 20 page presentation explaining how we could provide tens of thousands in marketing in return for letting us (The Honda of America Race Team) BORROW a couple if Groms.

I never heard if Powersports even acknowledged our request let alone accept or deny it.

At the time (late last year?) Groms were pretty much sold out everywhere so maybe they didn't have any to give? Either way we were pretty bummed. The team continues to use old CRF50s...

I want to say it was more like a PA50II or a Hobbit. I'll find out more deets. One of my favorite parts of visiting my grandpa was riding that thing. I believe my cousins stole it after his death.

How are you going to get that under the TVC of $500, or are those already on the master list for less then that?

Yes, standard value is $400. Leaves some room for a sway bar and lots of aero...

225 hp stock and a big gas tank.

Lots of parts swap-ability with the 4th gen Supra and the LS400.

Lots of talk on the Chumpcar forum about it being one of the cars "to have" but to date only one podium in an enduro for the sc300 afaik

So SC300 was more of a POS than I was hoping for. Nothing that would really matter for a Chumpcar but I wonder if it's worth spending an extra $1000-1500 to get a nicer car to start with. Finding an M/T SC300 is such a pain and this ones in Charlotte.

I talked the guy down to $1800 but I'm still not in love with it even at that price...

Yea the turbo 626s or mx6s seem like they could be wicked fast, but I think transmission durability could be an issue

Or we just build my miata and win at every track that is not VIR. The miata only suffers at VIR due to the long straight aways.

Well I just saw this thread... I was at Road Atlanta in DE2 on Aug 2/3 and at VIR for chump the next weekend driving the white 1st gen Integra (No Ragrets Racing). Driving VIR at night with shitty headlights is sketchy as hell but man was that fun. Is anyone going to AMP in November?
