General admission. I'm a free spirit, bleachers can't contain me.

So I have a bed, and a couch open. If more than 2 people need to stay they can bring an airbed, or sleep on the floor.

You guys sound like a bunch of ****. The prices are normal for F1. They aren't going to be any cheaper next year, if there is a next year. They aren't cheap or free like irl because it's not stupid *** irl! If you are a true F1 fan and don't go, you probably have the hiv. Pitlab, if plan to someday go see an f1 race like you plan to do a track day, you'll never see an f1 race.
You worry that you might not have a job by then? I'll quit my job if I don't get that weekend off! Thats the measure of my resolve

I'm still more pumped about V8 Supercar, but I want to see F1 I guess. I must drink with Raikkonen.

If you are referring to my post...I never attended an IRL race. I was talking about F1 at Indianapolis. I went to all but one of those, and never paid more than $80, and got good seats.

I'm not saying they aren't "typical", but that doesn't make the whole seat license BS any more of a cool thing. I love F1 and am glad it's back in the states, but with the license crap - I hope the facility loses their *** until they come to their senses. Charge $500/ seat if you want, but make them available to anyone wiling to spend the money. They did that seat license junk here in Columbus for the Blue Jackets NHL team and the place is always empty. Granted, the team sucks, but if the tix were available the might actually sell some.

Seat licenses suck, but as long as I can drive there for $300/weekend, I'll have good things to say about the place. If they jack the price up NE style for NASA events, they can suckle my peepee.

Yeah, I fear that everything in the area will be 30% more than typical that weekend. That's what happened in the Indy area the first year they had F1. Didn't happen so much thereafter.

Ya I'm betting a $2 beer will be $10. Going to be in debt when I get home Monday.

It is not about the price it is about being able to buy single day tickets. I'd rather pay more for a single day ticket where I want to sit vs. the same amount for a 3 day ticket. ALMS and other motorsports events i've always been able to buy single ticket. If this is an F1 thing well i've never been to an F1 event so IDK.

<edited response out>

if you want to ask or make comments about the other two why dont you pm me. I'm more than happy to have a conversation with you.

It's a COTA thing. You could get single day at Indy when the circus was in town.

I heard a rumor from an SCCA corner worker that there's no parking at the track. Anyone know if this is true?

Wasn't refering to your post, and hustler is talking about the trackday entry fee's for NASA TX. But I'm sure they're gonna jack up prices at hotels and such. I think they already do that for big UT football games.

Oh, hotels are already sky high. We booked when there was debate about the track even being done, and got a room under $100/night. Same place we are staying is now in the $300 range.

Found cheap cabins in Bastrop hold for details so me and Hustler can book first. There about 15 miles from the track and we can get there faster than trying to head downtown.

All tickets come with shuttle passes, think I read something about oh the roads around the track can't handle people parking at the track.
