My engine, it is not bolted together. I'll be at NOLA to crush your skulls though.

TXMC is now deep in the 1:54's at TWS CCW. Go JZ!

ZX-Tex 11-28-2011 01:11 AM

Awesome weekend, really. Great fun. JZ is the man once again.

tann3r 11-28-2011 09:55 AM

Daaaaaamn! way to go Spoolin!

ZX-Tex 11-28-2011 10:29 AM

I was nipping at his heels with a 1.56.2 but could not quiiiite get there. JZ is making me step up my game.

tann3r 11-28-2011 10:31 AM

Nice, 1:56.2 is smoking too. How'd the NASCAR bumper do?

hustler 11-28-2011 10:33 AM

I'll be out there in the spring representing the "no aero" crew on Nittos, lol. I will not get caught up in this TXMC arms race, lol.

Great! I even used it in the NASCAR corners. During a test session we ran the TWS 3.1 mile course configuration that uses the NASCAR T3 and T4 22 degree banking, leading onto the front straight. It was AMAZING. Hard to describe the awesomeness. Soooo so fast. Not even pushing hard it was easy to reach stupid velocities. The turns are HUGE. I kept stepping it up a bit each lap until I was shifting into 5th BEFORE leaving T4 onto the front straight and was still nowhere near the limit.

I think I saw God. He said quit being a pussy and go faster. I said no thanks.

Uh yeah when you only see black concrete out your front windsheild and there is no horizon line things get weird.

spoolin2bars 11-28-2011 12:58 PM

thanks ya'll. i was surpsied more than anyone. felt like a 1:59 maybe 1:58 laps. no speedometer or tach to judge mid corner speeds. i did notice a few things compared to nt-01's and '07 build hoosiers though. a couple slower speed corners felt like i was getting "squirted" out of. never felt acceleration g's like that before. And i was hitting rev limiter earlier on the front staright to go to 5th. i wish i had traqmate data on these laps. another crazy thing was the 1:55 was at 10psi! like 210whp.

So what you and ZX-Tex are saying is, "It's all about the tires", right?

spoolin2bars 11-29-2011 12:05 PM

yeah, that's nothing new, but it's crazy how easy it was on the hoosiers.

ZX-Tex 11-29-2011 01:11 PM

Word. The first three things you need to know in racing is tires, tires, and tires.

Some say that he regards aerodynamics as something useful for Tinkerbell, and that he is preparing a Briggs and Stratton engine swap just to irrevocably decimate the egos of his competitors in 2012. All we know is, he is called The Hustler.

hustler 11-29-2011 01:39 PM

lol

Ravynx and I doing lead follow to get him into hpde 3. I wish you guys could see my in car vs his. That open diff is doing me no favors hooking than peeling 3 times a corner. Chris is super fast too, I bet his car has a 2:00 flat in it. Next time you ne3ed to follow a faster driver and car, I was holding you up some.

hustler 11-29-2011 03:17 PM

I still don't know that track since I've only gone CW and CCW once each, lol.
