Lol ^^^^ awesome. But back to zx-tex's question, who's coming to the event? Trust me, you want this years championship trophy. Last years is a cracker Jack prize compared to this years.

Only if they are female (and were born female), sexy, bisexual, and appreciate (reeeealy appreciate) intelligent men with V8 Miatas.

I think Jake and the guy from Corpus with the bitchin white car with the engine swap whose name I can never remember because I am absent-minded (assuming he 's coming) are already stretching the non-Miata limit a bit. Do they have HPDE 3 or 4 experience? Not trying to be exclusive, just want to keep it all well under control.

Not really, he's one of our karting buddies trying to find a Miata but has tons of time in a kart. He may come a co-drive with John, will that be a problem? The last thing I want to do is stretch this awesome privilege.

A co-drive sounds like a good idea. If John is willing to let him drive his car then that is enough of an endorsement for me.

don't see why not. my buddy josh in the corolla isn't coming. and they could come in under chris s' membership (from track junkies) if necessary. he said he'll be there. gotta remember, it's a regular member's day, there could be ten members each with 2-3 friends that day as far as we know. can't see H2R getting mad at money and possible new members? it's probably half the reason any track allows members to bring friends. win/win. i think ben is gonna be there too (also a member), that said he would get us in anytime if needed.

Yeah it should be OK as long as they have solo experience and their car does not belch hot exhaust stuffing. Regardless John or Jake or Trey or someone with H2R experience should do a ride-along in the morning (both ways, driving and passenger) to show the new guys the track and the lines, and make sure they are driving OK. John you can have a short briefing in the morning to make sure everyone is on the same page as far as the track rules go, fire safety (if the track is clear get off the grass quick if you spin), etc. We also have to make sure everyone signs the track waiver and pays.

John I was thinking the same thing as you about H2R's perspective. As long as all goes well, they will be making more money if more people show up, and maybe hook a new member. Keep it to people you know directly, and will take responsibility for, and it should all be good. That is my only concern. I do not want the brother of a friend who auto-xed once 3 years ago to show up with a dicey car, do something stupid, and ruin the day for everyone else.

I'm gonna get the car prepped and ready and my friend, Chance, will be co-driving. He's been karting for a year and has tracked motorcycles in the past. He's ready to take the plunge into road courses and track days. I'll be spending time getting him up to speed.
