unless you guys are special and need a room to yourself, i don't see a big deal paying $150 for a room when it's split 5-6 ways. or $80 split 4 ways. especially when there's little to no cab fees needed. even better if it's for 1 night only. camp, (party, get room), camp. we also need to know what the deal is on sunday. can we camp or do we have to vacate the premises. i plan on running the whole day on sunday and don't want to start a 10hr. trip at 5 or 6pm. rather leave mon. morning.

+1 on leaving Monday morning. No way I want to go out Saturday night, race on Sunday, pack up, and start driving back, unless it is just to get a cheap room in the next town to the west.

I just did the math and it is going to cost me roughly $1000 for the weekend. So for the next 1.5 months my life will be what is in the picture below.
I honestly will probably leave Sunday night and drive 4-5 hours and then camp in my tow vehicle again. Then finish the drive home Monday. I don't really want to have to pay for an extra day of renting a trailer if I can avoid it.

I'm not sure I want to.park my car anywhere in New Orleans on any night of the week. Parking for any hotel in downtown will cost us $20/night. You're going to spend a minimum of $150 per night. I am willing to split a room though.

Eating lots of ramen noodles is what I meant.
I am working on finding another tow vehicle. If not I might suck it up and install cruise control in the track car. It would eliminate the problem of driving long distances.
I am going to do everything humanly possible to get out there for this event.

Safety wire would have saved your CHRA. After what Andrew and I went through, you should not be surprised. It's essentially a one-time $200 insurance policy on a $500 CHRA that will die every 3 days.
