So I bet you're wondering about the free alignment part, right? I knew it... all of cheap asses want free stuff, so i'm bringing you something useful....a free custom alignment (actually 2 of them). More on this in a moment.
This is going to happen on the next planned meet, maybe the end of this month or the beginning of next month. This stems from a conversation with a particular shop in Alpharetta. The owner of America's Best asked me to arrange a meet at his shop. The meet would be on a Saturday...either morning or lunch time. Oh, there is more free stuff involved too. Free food. I'm still working all the details out, so give me suggestions as to when you guys want/will be available.
OK, so you want to know more about the alignments. Dean, the owner of the shop is VERY knowlegeable person when it comes to suspension/alignments/wheels/tires and everything else that goes with how a car handles. Customes of the shop include Ferrari of Atlanta, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, MANY race cars...you get the idea. He is willing to do 2 custom alignments for this meet to show everyone just how important your alignment is. I think the best way to decide this is to simply draw names from a box.
So who's game?

Hmm... Let's put my Konis on my car, then I'll "win" the alignment.
KTHXBYE
KTHXBYE
I might be able to make it out, not sure yet. Although I wouldn't enter to win the alignment if I came. It would be a waste for me seeing as how I don't do the kind of driving that would warrant a custom alignment.
What about bikini girls?

Well, Dean just emailed me and wants to move the date to the 20th (following weekend). It seems the S2K club wants to have a meet there too...but there is a S2K event at The Gap on the 13th. So everything is being moved to the 20th so both groups can be there on the same date. I could have told Dean 'no' because people have already made plans, but Dean isn't normally open on Sat. and I figured what ever works best for him is what needs to be done.
**NEW DATE Sept 20th**

So who's going from mtnet? I'm def making an effort, though I think I'm in the process of losing my diff. Yesterday got a noise that sounded like rocks in a salad spinner under load. Won't be able to check it for another week, and that leaves week nights to swap IF that's the problem.
I had the 13th marked off for it. Meanwhile, I booked the 20th for something else
btw: What was going on in the "mall" parking lot off Roswell Rd. yesterday? I stopped by a fairly large gathering of a random mix of sports cars. I saw Doppelganger's car, but I have no idea what the owner (Mike, is it?) looks like. Oh well, looked like fun!

That's the Caffeine and Octane meet. First Sun of every month now apparently. Used to be first Sat... So I was there Sat alone :(
