Not sure, but I want to hit that Dutch place in center city to gorge on mussels and piraat.
The restaurant is called Monk's. They have a beer bible and have something like 700 beers in stock. Dinner menu includes stuff like lamb, rabbit, duck, and some kickass mussels prepared like 10 different ways. Monk's Cafe - The soul of Belgium in the Heart of Philadelpiha |

Thursday is the way.

Brain - are you referring to the Sweetwater Tavern in Merrifield? Right off the Rt 50 exit off 495? BTW, your lack of food adventure by sheer mention of chicken tenders/fingers. :giggle::loser: Clearly, you are a man that takes delight in chicken chimichangas or what-have-you. :giggle:
y8s - we are not going to Philly. At least until it warms up a bit. Name a few good beer places and let's set something up. One of the CDC autoxers and Subaru trainers (Jim R.) regularly comes over for UFC fights. He typically brings over these fantastic beers that I'd never purchase myself. He brought over a Blue Moon Grand Cru (sp?) that rocked. Also some stout that made Guiness taste like tap water. And I personally am happy with Yuengling/Miller Lite/etc. |
Auto-xers are not welcome at this event, maybe you finooks can meet up in Dupont Circle. :giggle:

Listen track-boi, you're in our town now, bite your tongue lest we drop your candy ass off in SE D.C. like Bruce Willis in Die Hard:With a Vengeance. Don't worry about getting beat by locals on our local track. Just like I wouldn't expect to beat you by more than 2 seconds at your local track(s). /hate |
So we now know that Thursday night is the night. So lets decide on a place to get drinks already.
|
let's drive to Captial Ale House in Richmond.

last night I ate dessert with esquire mag's 2009 chef of the year and the pig farmer from the story on the chipotle cups. I like good food, what can I say? |
We can't go to Sweet Water because Lar's wants to open carry and he can't in a restaurant with corporate policies....
someone just name a place. |

Sounds like Lars needs to learn about the Virginia Tuck.
Many (most?) restaurants in NoVA will be like that. |

someone just name a place. Sheesh, just friggin' put the gun underneath the car seat. Is it that hard? Just like dressing up for church/synagogue/temple/wedding/fancy ceremony? My suggestions for hustler: 1) if we eat near his place - Cafe Pizzaiolo. Everyone likes pizza stuff. They've got some beers, gelato, etc. Plus, CC restaurant is 200 ft away. 2) Sweetwater Tavern- decent place (closer to me too!), beers, overall good. 3) Get some hot wings, make him suffer big time, get the runs the next day, the post up what a girlie man he truly is under the ethug image we all have. 4) Dinner and karting up in Sterling, VA (much closer for me now!). There's a really good wings place about 10 mins up the road (Main Street Wings in Ashburn). Also, there are some local places like Sweetwater Tavern (5 mins away, yay!). 5) Korean buffet. Brain, even you would love grilled beef. I know it's no chimichanga or a kaysaydilleyuh, but good eats in Annandale. Beer is pricey and Asian (like tall Sapporo can for $8). 6) Dogfish Head. Probably the one next to 7 Corners (off Rt 7 in Falls Church). Not my favorite place...but the beer has a kick. Food is hit-or-miss. Beer snobs like, right? 7) Ray's The Steaks or Ray's Hellburger. |

Many (most?) restaurants in NoVA will be like that. I have actually never been hassled OCing when out getting food. Which is very surprising. Realistically we need to just pick a place and I will shut up and show up. |

B) make high end virtual reality systems C) chipotle is a burrito chain and they serve drinks in cups. These cups feature short articles on their internal processes. Read "people we're pleased to know part 2" D) go to Blue Ridge in DC and ask for the head chef?

Well aware of the Virginia Tuck. Use it all the time when I go out. It is just Sweet Water's corporate policy forbids carrying inside their restaurants. So I try to avoid going to those places.

Could you guys stop slobbering on each others knobs long enough to name a place? I'm a dive bar guy, so I'm sticking with my Hard Times for some chili and wings.
