[QUOTE=hustler;460556]We basically keep it clean too on member days and the "adult" group stuff at Hallett.
Open passing is important because we're talking about hot-lapping here and you must be able to pass to stay competitive. Its not about bombing a corner, its about paying attention, especially when you're not on a hot-lap.
The track events in Dallas are dumb because with Apex and "The Driver's Edge" they don't even take the blue/yellow flag out. Rather than tell the slower car to yeild, they'd rather black flag the faster car for "following too close," lol. I ran a Subaru club day when my car made 94whp/74wtq on $700 suspension and was yelled at like a bitch for following to closely when I should have "pitted for spacing" every 3-laps. Hallett is much better.
that sucks, that's why i've never even run a driver's edge event before. they were so ---- at the registration step, that i knew it was gonna be shitty on track and cancelled. i know what you mean as far as getting stuck behind traffic, i just haven't really been in that situation in a while. the guys in hpde4 really pay attention because of the big variance in speed of the cars out on the track. plus because of that, they will throw someone the passing flag before a faster car has caught up just to let you know. comes in handy when your out there with a radical or lou gilotti vette! all the classes of miata challenge could run in the higher groups regardless of car power or speed, they would just have to get signed off to run in those groups or tt if they weren't already and have open passing.

There's a NASA event this weekend at Eagles Canyon if anyone is interested. Looks like a pretty small group, lots of track space.

Ryan help me get my car ready and we'll take it to ECR for a shakedown
Realistically, I do not think it could be, too much to do yet. I am pressed to have it ready for TWS as it is. Not to mention the whole kitchen pass situation.
Back to TWS, what will the deal be for this event, open passing, or front and back straights only? I am hoping for open passing as long as there are not any dumbasses on the track. I am a pretty conservative passer myself. I'll follow a guy for a few corners to see what his lines are before I go for it.
Except for Hustler. I'm gonna stuff him like a thanksgiving turkey.

Looks like $180 for the day, but I am pretty sure you have to get a NASA membership which is another $40-50...it's 4 - 20 minutes sessions but sometimes more if they combine the groups. Just depends on number of people attending. Any tire you want....

Neither of us are driving, bitch. Tone down the disrespect of I'll make a coat out of you and I'm not ******* around this time. I kicked Kimbo's *** last night and if you continue down this road of disrespect and insolence, you're next.
