Default Oregon Raceway DE event June 20 & 21

NW guys. The Oregon pca is now accepting registrations for non club members for the June 20,21 DE event at the Oregon Raceway Park. Each day is $165 for early applications. Will go up to $200 June 1. The Oregon PCA is a great club to run with. Good guys, well run, no snotty attitude. (take that BMW club!)

This track is phenomenal. Perfect for our cars. Lots of elevation changes, blind corners, twisty and a kick in the pants. I went to last months event and it was terrific. Right now I'm only signed up for Sunday. Would love to see some other force fed Miatae there!

Washington and Idaho guys? This would be well worth the trip! There are only 3 run groups. LOTS of track time. 6 25 minute sessions last time. Advanced track, so no beginners. Not all the amenities are built out yet but the pavement is all there and that's what counts!

I think you'd probably want a few PIR track days under your belt. I don't know that they have a ground school available for beginners. Have you signed up on motorsportreg.com? Thats a great place to check out all the different events/prices/requirements.

SBK,

You definetly want to get a few track days under your belt first. There are lots of clubs running at Pacific Raceway and Bremerton that offer instruction. The PCA is only letting experienced drivers join in at ORP. No instructors are available.

Here is a link to track day events around the NW. Look for DE or HPDE days at Portland, Bremerton and Pacific. The various car clubs that offer instruction are much better price wise than the businesses that do instruction. The quality of instruction may or may not be the same but the clubs are about 1/2 the cost.

You'll get hooked and I hope to see you at an event. Let us know if and where you sign up.
