Default Tx. Miata Challenge rd. 4 @ Harris Hill Road!!!

Just a heads up on our first independant event being held at H2R on june
18th. There will be several run groups and the event will run like a HPDE/Time trial format. It's open to cars of all makes, but since it's a "miata challenge" event, I'd like as many miata's as possible to participate. To aid in that, Eric at H2R is waiting to really advertise the event for a little while. So please sign up as soon as you can to ensure your spot. Here's the details from www.clubregistration.net

Event Name Texas Miata Challenge

Club Harris Hill Road
Registrar eric@harrishillroad.com
Location H2R
Event Dates 06/18/11 - 06/18/11
Registration Opens 04/19/11 12:00 AM (members) (central time zone)
04/19/11 (all)
06/13/11 (closes) (12:00am central time zone)
Description Texas Miata Challenge and H2R have paired up to put together an all-day, DE-style Time Trial event.

This event is open to cars of ANY make and model, as long as they meet H2R's 99dBA sound limit, and have proper safety equipment.

Drivers must be soloed by a recognized DE organization, have a race license, or be approved by the Texas Miata Challenge. H2R members are also eligible to participate.

All 1st and 2nd generation Miatas *must* have proper rollover protection. No need for a transponder, as H2R will provide all timing equipment for the day.

Spec Miata registrants are eligible for all sessions and will be automatically entered in the demo race at the end of the event.

Lunch will be provided for all paid registrants.

See you at the track!

Spoolin any discussion on the rate for current members? Is the track dedicated that day to this event, or is it still open to member use?

Sure, blue and above. No instructors, although some us that are might be coerced into riding if someone needs some track pointers.

No discussion, but I think there's prices listed if you go to club registration. And I've never heard of any event that was open to members usage, so I'm pretty sure the answer is no. You have to sign up and pay like the rest of us. Well, a little less but you have to pay nonetheless!

the power was always at your fingertips. thanks for signing up.

Btw, new rule: miata challenge drivers with memberships at the track we are about to visit may not go there less than 30 days before said event.

violaters will be subject to the harshest punishment including (but not limited to) warm golden waterboarding, deviled egg hustler dutch oven, drunken jake belittlement, 4loco diet, etc...

OK I would like to officially request that the 30 day limit be decreased to 27 days so that I can go this weekend I did not get to take the Miata last weekend and took the M3 instead. Geez what a pig it is compared to the Miata. 10 seconds slower.

I know it is coming up fast and I have stuff to do to the car! Normally that is enough time but work is getting busier, including some travel.
