i don't know what that guy can do @ HHR, but he's real fast at TWS. never talked to him before, but he has a crazy 300zx gutted racecar, it may have been his first time with that car, but he never caught up to me at tws in that. he's since run a time i don't think i can beat, but it's also running HUGE hoosier's.

you can see his 300zx in the background in this pic.

yeah, it's always about fun. and nothing's more fun than a good battle with someone. it's fun being faster than high dollar machines, but it's more fun when you gotta work at it, regardless of what kind of car it is. in that pic above the blk. bmw and i went through the entire field, it was hard to stay ahead of him, i could pull away in some sections, but he would be right back in other's.

From the registration web site
"Cars are required to have passed a tech inspection 30 days or less before the event by a qualified ASE mechanic."

Seriously?! I do not mind going through tech at all, done it many times. But do I really have to go find an ASE mechanic to sign off on the car?

You don't have any ASE mechanic friends? I think it's just on S2K's insurance checklist or whatever.

Too bad you are not in Austin JC Autospec is a $25 fee for the inspection. Have you read the tech form? The are concerned about tires and wheel bearings.

The part I do not like is the requirement for the receipt from the shop that performed the work.

Now hurry up guys we only have till the 6th to get signed up!

I think the 6th is for on-line sign up right? I would imagine they will take entries until the last minute as long as it is not full.

Well is anyone going to sign up for this event? Would you guy prefer the H2R event on 12.19?

If no one is signing up for this I will pass on it too plus the 10 forcast is calling for 60% chance of rain as of right now.

The last two times I was on the track it rained! Learning tool my *** the only thing I learned is that the track SUCKS in the rain! If I wanted to drive around going slowly I could have saved the $$ and just hit some country roads.

MSR Cresson is like ice when wet and H2R gets big rivers crossing it in turns plus you have to climb that hill against the current!

Not to pile on, but another bad thing about HHR in the rain is that there's no covered parking.

I did not make it since the track car is still not ready. Whoever went probably had a good time; it was perfect track weather today.
