This just in: Bigger turbos flow more.

The definition of "stock" has changed drastically in the last few years.

It's stock casting. Nothing else in it is remotely resembling stock. This thing idles like a Puerto Rican drag car, possibly partially due to interesting tuning, but it has some huge cams.

well I mean he rapes young girls so...

Pretty much a CNC'd billet aluminum head.

On second look, I don't think I understand that dyno chart. Is there no torque displayed? Why don't what I perceive as HP and TQ lines cross the at 5250 or whatever. As if I have a clue.

HP and FTLBS are scaled differently.

but it says stock on his video description.

I like to lie to people online too to make myself look better; especially to the younger crowd.

Thanks

The head itself is stock. Probably.

18psi 11-08-2017 01:38 PM

turbo looks stock too

Braineack 11-08-2017 01:38 PM

stock doesn't mean the stock casting from mazda, it means unmodified. he might as well say his block is stock too.

meanwhile, savington isn't trying to have sex with minors and thus we know exactly how he built his setup.

18psi 11-08-2017 01:40 PM

I keep admirin that afr plot. need to get on his level

We're on the same page. I'm merely informing you that across the internet, "stock" doesn't mean what us old farts thought it did, anymore.

18psi 11-08-2017 01:43 PM

that car is bone stock with a hyper re-route. y'all are just crybaby old farts

sonofthehill 11-08-2017 01:45 PM

Guess I need the hyper reroute

Did you miss the part where I said hp/L per kPA of manifold pressure?

matrussell122 11-08-2017 03:35 PM

So supposedly this car is for sale with salvage title for just 20k

HP/L/MAP is a silly metric because it can be skewed heavily by RPM. F1 motors make far, far more HP/L/MAP than a Sprint Cup motor, for instance, but the Sprint Cup motor actually has better BMEP in its narrow operating window. Nobody is silly enough to suggest that F1 motors are exponentially better than Cup motors (at least nobody with knowledge of both).

He made 357wtq at 37psi, I made 427wtq at 27.5psi and did it ~3500rpm earlier than he did. I'm not impressed by setups with peak torque arriving past 7000rpm.

JasonC SBB 11-08-2017 04:40 PM

Oh LOL the blue line is torque not power?
