my turbo miata, first dyno!!
Im a downsyndrome and cant get the video on here for my life, so here it is on youtube. I was there till 1am in the morning but worth it! Only got up to 12lbs of boost on a base tune so we really didnt get in depth could have played around alot more and thats only at 6000rpm 196rwhp. Going back next week cranking it to 20lbs of boost, after i do an oil change, some plugs and wires. Any suggestions? Think thats good hp at that rpm level. And no i dont have a print out at the moment. Enjoy. Camera did die so this was the only vid i got in...

Lol it was pretty retarded i was there for 5 hours. Was only 6000rpm guy said i still have lots more to play with lots of potential, this was just to get me going like i said. And i did more then one power run lol. Dont know much about dynos this one was a mustang one you can put load on it to create boost as im sure you all know. But the manifold begi made so it should be durable.

Umm as from what i think they were saying its 18deg and when i hit full boost it goes down to the 10deg range if that sounds right? So he was fooling around with it. So your sayings i should be making alot more power at that range.

I gots da megasquirit pnp, so timing should be alot lower? And i did have some issues like spark gap, my wires were screwy the piece pulled out of the boot when we pulled them out which should never happen?

What kind of dyno is this? If its a DD then these #'s may be reasonable, or the correction factor could be jacked. What a/r on the turbine housing...larger a/r = more torque but the .64 should be fine. You probably won't get my level of spark advance, but you'll get close once you learn to get into the efficiency range of the turbo. Look at the compressor map and put the boost controller in the fat, then tell us what happens. With 10* of retard you're spiting fire through the valves above 5500rpm judging from EGT research I've done on other miatas (not sure about 1.6 cams though).
If you're only running 10* of spark and hitting detonation you either didn't time the car properly, your tuner has downs, the rods are too long, of you have high-comp pistons.

I also want to see your VE table because I'm certain it looks like ****. We're going to severely make fun of you, hopefully bringing you to tears because that's the only way I can feel good about myself, but you're going to enjoy the end result.
