I fixed the loud exhaust. But it hasn't made people drive any better.

Mmmmmmm inside lane turn into far outside lane is my favorite. There's one right by my house. I see it every time i go through there. I always take the outside lane in hopes that someone will learn a hard lesson running into a big bro'd out Montero.

your taste of music is braineack approved.
however, the horn would have been active, the entire time he started into my lane and only release until after we made that next left turn... |

typical inside turn lane to outside lane asshat
If I had one a few months ago I would have recorded a NJ State trooper taking out someone's dog. That was a full-suck experience. It looked intentional but I hope it wasn't. |
The thing that scares me is not that i will get hit, it's people like this that will get hit. So few people watch the road, everyone is preoccupied with a cell phone or whatever. A dashcam is not a bad investment.

We have the same thing by my house, but a few days ago there was the inside turn lane to going straight asshole. I'm asking for a dash cam for my birthday.

How many people do you think just go straight through the turn only lane in the intersection, making it dangerous/annoying/impossible for those who chose the correct lane to go straight through the intersection, to be able to use any of the next 3 entrances? Easily 50% of the people who are in that lane. |

We have a double whammy by my house. The next intersection after the 2 lane right turn intersection, is 2 lanes, but one is right turn only. That lane "continues" (but not legally) after the intersection to serve as turn lane for the next 3 shop/neighborhood entrances.

I want to know how she accomplished that. ;)
When you park in the fast lane: |
hooooooly shit
That dude it hurting big time |
Don't stop on track. if your race car is broken or breaking pull off the track as best you can... |
Thank God for HANS. If you pull off track, don't set the grass on fire (i.e., get close to a corner worker).
Speaking of corner workers . . . where were they? No flags. |
Holy crap, a crash just like that at the Rolex 24hrs a few years ago just about ended a pro drivers career.
From the same race. Wasn't a good event for Miata's: |
I saw that one^. I have to say that guy was literally crawling through T1. If I came into T1 at race speed I would have needed evasive action to avoid him. No surprise that the over taking car went to the inside IMO. And we all now the fate of any car that stalls in the roval entry.

He definitely seemed surprised with the turn of events.
I should add, that normally a driver like that becomes a "known entity" before the race even starts, and most know to avoid them. A guy I coached was bitching about getting nailed in a very similar situation at Rd. ATL in T12. He started to show me the in-car video at the point turn-in started and the offender was in plain view. The first thing I asked the pupil: Do you see his door? Response: Yeah, It's got a big dent in. I told him that's usually a your last hint. ;) |
What was up with his line? Looked like he was trying to do the slowest, earliest apex possible.
Thats one thing I didnt like about running in the HSR. A Formula Vee from the 70s was usually a lot faster than one from the 60s and sometimes you would come flying up on an old car like it was standing still. |
Line? He doesn't have one. That turn should terrify you if you're doing it right.
The HSR is a good place to learn "expect the unexpected". The first time I raced with them in a showroom stock Miata, I almost rear ended a Nissan GTP car under braking for T1. |
This guy very nearly hit me. I moved over and let him pass then got behind him. Sure enough he rear ends the guy at the next light we get to.
Very clearly high or on drugs. |
