Block Gymkhana 3

He seems like an normal guy in person. He acts about like I probably would if I had huge piles of money and got paid for having fun with a camera on me. He seems a lot more normal than Pastrana at least. Pastrana disappears into his camper after a rally, Ken at least attends the banquets and socializes.

I agree that its nothing compared to some of the rally driving, but it definitely takes a lot of skill and looks like a fuckload of fun none the less.

I think Ken was a normal guy once, that's the difference. Pastrana had a weird childhood, went superstar at a young age (he's still a kid really), and never had the experience of being an average Joe. I'm sure the kid takes a lot of painkillers too which have to mess with you a little. He's not a bad guy. He's held the door open at the Holiday Inn for my wife twice. But he always acts like he is on TV, like a walking talking reality show. And he is always in a hurry to be somewhere else, or maybe he is just always somewhere else in his head.

This.
And just his antics, the way he dresses, **** he does in his videos, and the overall production of his videos. Doesn't exactly come off as a modest dude. And I think to be a showman such as him one needs to be inherently douchy. That paintball segment in the last gymkhana was ******* dumb.
douche.
And I think it's safe to say if you wear fitted caps you're a douche.
Whether or not you're talking about Ken Block, I don't think anyone's suggesting Block's a bad guy. I'm not. Just stating he's a douche and a half.

I've really enjoyed this series. I haven't really got the douche impression that some of you have. But I'm sure actually living in that environment could make anyone come across less than pleasant at times. Anyway, I wasn't as impressed with this one as the first two. Can't really say why, just didn't get as excited about it. Still a pretty neat show. I'd love to get paid to do that shiz for hella dollar billz.

All I know of him is what I've seen in this year's season and his past US rally results. He's obviously an excellent driver, but as they say, you're only as good as your competition. His results in the US look good on paper, but more often than not there was a serious lack of participants in his class.
He is sharing the blame for poor results this year, but I'm not so sure that's what you need in a racer. Though it might make him a nice guy, the best of the best usually see themselves as infallible. Honestly he sounds a little like a pansy in post race interviews admitting that he's not up to the job, or just learning, sorting or whatever. I think back to somebody like Loeb who jumped into his first factory ride kicking *** and taking names.

I don't care if he's a douche, he's not part of my life. I don't care if he sucks in WRC, I don't watch it nor do I benefit from him being good. I do care that he was able to make another bad *** video, it provided me with another 7+ minutes of entertainment and I hope he makes more.

The cinematography in his videos is really good, and the driving really is a blast to watch.

Regards of what you think of Patrana or Block, they are good enough drivers to be racing at a professional level. To be at that level you have to be a little bit of a self promoter to set yourself apart from the next guy. That's just how the game is played these days.

Ken Block is cool ****.
Rob Dyrdek sucks ***** and everytime I see or hear him I want to punch babies.
EDIT: According to a quick search on the web, Ken Block is the co-founder and chief brand officer of DC Shoes, a division of publicly traded Quiksilver Inc.
DC Shoes was founded by Ken Block and Damon Way who is the older brother of professional skateboarder Danny Way.
Rob Dyrdek was hired my them...he needs to get fired
