Default Buttonwillow 13CW - 2:00.7

6 seconds faster than my last event at Buttonwillow. I'm stoked.

nice... I wish the camera was up a little higher so we could see the track more.

Me too. It's on my to-do list.

Thanks for the compliment. The fast guys don't usually look very fast. Smooth hands, smooth inputs, looks slow and boring, produces crazy laptimes.

Ahh, you're a thumb wrapper, eh? I always heard never to wrap thumbs around the wheel. An instructor once told me he's had 2 major thumb injuries from doing that, one on and one off the track.

I wish I was as smooth as you. I am such a shitty driver =P

Looks like nice driving, can't wait til I get home and can watch it with sound. (in study lounge, forgot de headphones).

Seriously though...you look like you are going ***** out, and making it look easy. After seeing what you did to the carbotechs, I assumed you were hella fast, but kinda frantic behind the wheel. Instead you drive like my grandpa (that's a compliment, he was big in SCCA when MGAs were the thing to run).

This is one of the few ride along vids that makes me feel like I wouldn't have minded being in the passenger seat had I been there (and would have been able to see the track better).

Smooth is the way to go. Smooth is confident, keeps the car settled, keeps you loose. Nicely done and great improvement.

Do you attribute the big time drop to experience, mechanical changes, combination of above?

Too little track visibility. Im having a hard time tracking the story of your car since you blew your engine. Where is the story? It that a 95.5 interior?

Good job. Now go find 0.8 sec. You want to be able to say, "Yeah, I run in the 1:50's."

Nice, 6 seconds on a 2 minute course is an insane drop. Congrats.

All of the above. 20whp sure doesn't hurt; before, I couldn't go flat through the bus stop at maybe 190whp. At 217, with aero, I think if I adjust my line and it were 75 or 80 instead of 95 out, I could be flat through there. I also had better tires this time around, and I was much more aggressive over a couple of berms that picked up a bunch of time.

Careful what you wish for. Plans for BW include borrowing a 3.9 Torsen, hooking the rear bar back up, and 100lbs of weight loss. 1:58s?

Nice lap. What kind of camera are you using Savington?
