Back in college the university had a machine similar to a 3-d printer that used a laser to make parts out of titanium (i think it was a powder). **** was baller, I don't doubt they use something similar for this.

Can't remember the name for the life of me...

I would not be too worried about quality comming from that company, they dont really make low quality stuff.
Check out theyre cam-free valve train design which has been running in a test mule for some time now.
