integra shifting from 2nd to 1st at 9,000 rpm

Hell i don't know how they work truthfully i just hate shifters in front wheel drive cars. Most of them are cable operated to the transaxles and the bushings or springs wear out real bad and their gating system feels super shitty. So self aligning to the middle like it should.
His own fault for doing that mis shift though, that ones pretty hard.

Some how, a F body managed to get into reverse going down the track a couple of years ago. I missed it, I think I was racing that day but my friends said the thing nearly jumped in the air and the reverse lights flashed. Luckily I have never unintentionally down shifted at redline, but I am pretty sure I would crap my pants.

Way back in the day, I used to ride around in a 20G 1G AWD DSM.
It had a **** trans, would pop out of second, etc.
One night, after a bunch of racing, from the top of third my buddy goes into 2nd instead of 4th, for an instant. I was watching the TMO laptop logger at the time, knock was maxed, and I think (don't remember) we hit ~10-11k rpm for a fraction of a second, only his quick reaction saved the motor.
It was a rather unexpected.

Talk about some excellent traction with the front tires; I'm surprised that it just did not skid. Never seen that before, awesome. I guess the huge weight shift plus possible drag tires did the trick.

Last person I let drive my car felt it would be ok to go to redline in 3rd and mis-shift into 2nd. I almost stabbed him in the neck immediately. Good think our tachs are off. It was an indicated 7k rpm which is really more like 6700 so he hit around 7800 or less in a mechanical over-rev. I still wouldn't mind stabbing him in the neck.
