As I was walking from my hotel to CBS Radio this morning, I happened to pass by a very unusual piece of **** lying on Dominick street between Varick and Hudson. Well, not so much lying on the street as standing on the street,

Joe, when I opened this thread, I figured you had found something interesting, but in your conservative nature, didn't want to swear in the title. Didn't figure it to be literal...

My best guess is that it came from a tall dog. Tall enough that it gained enough speed in freefall to stand like that.

Unfortunately, I carry neither flag toothpicks nor birthday candles with me on my daily commute. It was a coincidence that I even had my camera with me at the time and for that matter, that I was walking down Dominick street. I usually go north on Varick to Charlton and cross there, but for whatever reason I just happened to make that left turn this morning.

A little model astronaut figure and a flag would have been perfect, though.
