Miata @ MSR Cresson

Aside from the booster pack, that sounds just like Matt Andrew's car.
It would be nice to have a "Snail" vs. "Screw" shootout.
Again, we all know it would boil down to the driver's. Maybe allow each driver to switch into opposing car and see if they can better the time?

I have come to realize that over the past two years.
That, yes, people can be taught to drive fast and smooth.
But there are those few breeds, that are just naturally damn fast in anything they plant their butt into.
Those are the ones I love to follow (though brief) to learn a few things at certain sections.

He is self-taught..never been to a driving school, he got his NASA Pro License in 1 session at MSR, which was also his first time on the track. He is currently a sponsored Sprint car driver, and just got a new ride 2 races ago, got invited to the Devil's Bowl, and has another sponsor offering a new ride (and new car) for next season. This is his first season back in Sprint cars after a 20yr break. It is VERY HUMBLING to ride with him.

this is a great idea and all, but furthers the reality that Hallett needs a miata "time attack" time trial event with open hot-lapping sessions. That way I'd have a chance because I know that track really, really, really well. MSR would never go for this, Hallett would and we don't need memberships to get in. We should also touch base with Harris Hill and see if they're interested.
The problem is insurance though...if we decide to make this a competition, things get expensive and most likely EMS has to hang out.

That's a good idea. Maybe talk Keith into getting a few of his turbo cars out there, too. That would be an awesome sight...20 turbo miatas on the 3.1! I am sure my driver, "The Stig", would love to see how he does against a national champ. Don't we have enough members at MSR to just go do a Miata Raid on a member's day? Let's get a list of members and non-members (buddy team) started. Then we can find a day that works best for most people and take over MSR for a day.
I have:
My boss - member
Me - non-member
Bob Stretch - member
The Stig - non-member
Keith V. - member
Kelly - member

Does TDR crew equal TDR parts or super?

Miatamaniac - Yes, the Noble has a pax seat. It actually sports a full interior with alacantra covered roll cage, stereo, and full a/c and heater.
Twin turbo all aluminum Ford Escape crate motor FTW.
425 WHP w/ 475 lbs. of torque. We have actually never had the car in 6th gear. Pulls 160 + mph at TWS on the back straight in 5th before having to shut it down.
The new section at MSR is a blast, but not very Miata friendly when it comes to climbing the hill without boost.

If we can get 80+ people who want to run, we can get the price down to $200/Ea.
