Rich folks don't like to lose money and try to sell their modded cars equal or very near to the price of the car plus the mods. I've seen it happen before lots of times.

Rare to see one with a body in such nice shape. Drove behind a real nice one last week...belching out black smoke at every light. Yet I still wanted it.
