It may have been posted here before, but I didn't see it. I've been sporting wood for the last few weeks because of this noise from the Hennessey CTS-V...

Ignore the first half with the talking...

I love the output and all, but turbo noises own your soul. I feel like I little kid every time I get in the car.

No doubt about that. Even though it was a slow piece of ****, my T2 RX7 would get me excited every time I drove it. Nothing like that angry hiss of a turbo.

A sound I'm ready to hear is my cousin's WS6 Trans Am that he is in the process of turbocharging. I think he said they were 66mm's. Last time I heard his goal was 600 tuned for the street. The sound of big displacement V8 and turbo.

I wanna hear that next to me at a red light. I would probably **** myself first, but then would be in awe.

I was crossing the street a few months ago and heard what i though was a corvette coming my way fast, when i saw the cts-v I was pleasantly surprised. They are one of the only American car i'd drive.

I saw a G8 GT on the road the other day...couldn't get it to race.

Poor lady probably didn't even know why I was giving her a thumbs up on her pretty red sedan.

If Pontiac had been making cars like that 10yrs ago they never would have shut their doors. That car is the modern equivalent of the muscle cars I drooled about (and rebuilt) in high school....just BETTER.

I've heard both (CTS-V and G8) are pretty steady when driven aggresively...and we know what they do in a straight line...not to mention the soundtrack.

^^^That F40 is just plain WICKED...haven't heard that in ages...and noticed the turbo sounds more this time.

I used to make the Henessey Viper shoot out with my grandpa as a kid. All of John's clients car's and some of his own would go out to Houston Raceway and lay down some ridiculous times. What was really cool was that everyone of those rich, important guys would take the time to let a 13yr old check out their car.

I was reminded of this when I went to pick up a pizza with my daughter last Friday. We were getting back in the car when I heard a BIG turbo spooling...and then started to hear a very even burble. I'm sure I had a wtf look on my face when I looked up and saw a yellow GTS...obviously a Hennessey. I had forgotten they made those, and never seen one on the street.

We caught up with him before we got back to IH-45...and watch him rape the on-ramp and disappear towards the north. Sitting behind it on the overpass light I enjoyed the exhaust note. I know most Viper owners complain about how it doesn't sound like a musclecar...but with turbos as mufflers it sounds pretty damn good.

Found vid, not nearly as blood pressure elevating as the Caddy...but still aural orgasm:

I love when I'm cruising in traffic and the turbo spools at part throttle and rednecks in diesel truck give me the thumb-up.

Turbo sounds are great for putting lead in your pencil and making girls panties melt away but....the sounds of a high revving N/A motor is beautiful.

+1 for Hennessy Cars! Glad I have one in my garage.

Nothing like the sound of the turbine spool followed by any sort of VTA BOV...

^ I meant to post that one too. Onstar would be annoying, at least until they canceled it after my first year.

Hasn't Hennessey screwed tons of people out of hundreds of thousands of dollars?
