So yeah.... today Jenn and I were heading back into Grand Junction after a nice trip over to the Gateway Auto Museum (pics of that will be up later)..we came across this. When it passed us, we had to really ask eachother if that really did just happen. So I turned around and chased it down....and found it feeding on some liquid dinosaur...






Yes...I have more pics that will get posted up later.

I used to know [through my dad] the owner of a Indy car race team, Tony Blair, of Blair Racing, they were childhood friends. Once when they were in Richmond we hung out with them at their trailer, he made sure to show us a binder full of photos of all his various cars, one of course was a McLaren F1, the pictures were taken at a private runway that he rented for the day so they could clock the top speed and have an overall fun time.

He was actually one of the first to get a Carrera GT, he brought it to a Porchse event up at Walkins Glen. The Porchse drivers all wanted to drive it or drive in it, but he only gave my uncle a ride.

Awesome. The grandfather of the modern supercar. Not as impressive by todays standards but still near the top of my list. The sounds they make are beautiful.

Well hell, you're just a pup. I was going to revoke your man card and issue you a new purse, but I guess you'll be ok. Study up on all of the 200mph+ supercars and you'll probably be alright.

I remember when Motor Trend tested this specific one, the LM, and reading/drooling about it back in the day.


I thought: "surely it can not get any better than this for the automotive world. This must be the PEAK"...Guess not

I still know what a Pantera and M1 are...

This is a true testament to the superiority of the McLaren design. You've never even heard of it, yet it's still used by Top Gear to compare to every new exotic.

I dunno. Cars may have gotten nicer and faster, but I still think the F1 was kind of the "peak" of automotive awesomeness. Gives you a special tingle in your britches.

Pantera is one of my dream cars! Yum!
