You know we are a bunch of cynical son's-o-biotches when we crap on a bunch of people having fun and enjoying their cars.
Which also happen to be our cars. |

As weird as those guys are... at least they appreciate the cars abilities and actually do drive the car as it was meant to be driven. There are much stranger individuals that are attracted to our cars IMO.
I agree, they atleast appreciate the car and dont just sit there saying "its so cute" __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote |
To be honest, I enjoy driving a stock miata as much as the turbo. The stock (with cold air and exhaust) is fun and I drive it as hard as I can. The world is a race track, and it doesn't go fast enough to draw attention from the police.
Now the turbo car. MUCH better. But it draws attention. and your moving fast enough for the police to bug you. But to be honest. There are alot of weird DOE's. If my full intent was a race car, I would of chose a LS1 car. Throw on a SC or turbo and be done. But I wanted MPG in the $4.00/gallon period. And the insurance is cheap. The car is just fun. It is the closest thing to the handling and fun of a motorcycle. Ane it has A/C and radio for hot days. |
I don't drink the Miata Club kool-aid. It's a car, not a fucking life style.
I find it hard to socialize with people where the only commonality is we all drive the same car (and mostly for completely different reasons). I've been around a lot of different type of car enthusiasts, but Miata people are the strangest bunch of all. I don't think a Miata is a car worthy of worship ... actually that goes for all cars. That being said while I was in a Miata club I met some decent folks. |

5 bucks says that this member has the same IP as another entertaining fellow recently necro-posting in these parts. Anyone?

Seriously, I couldn't go within 100 miles of one of those events, to hear some one ramble on about how there tonneu cover is soo cool and they bought it a year after they got the car. Then they continue to tell you how there duralast battery was bought last year and still has 2 years of free replacement and their barum tires make it handle like a go kart, because all these cars are is little go karts. |
A personal favorite was a CL add saying the car had an amazing exshaust from Borja. And high performance snow tires.

I'm sure the wine and cheese was flowing at Myrtle Beach a couple weeks ago. At least they did have an autoX and HPDE event too.
