Default 1.6l turbo stock ecu

Hi everyone. I have a 1990 Mazda Miata 1.6l just purchased the CX racing turbo kit used for 500$ all piping and couplers are in very good shape, the turbo has no shaft play whatsoever, bov, wastegate, downpipe, and all the clamps etc. the previous owner was running the kit with 1.8l injectors stock ecu and a Vortech FMU 12:1@ 14psi. I am not currently looking to get a Megasquirt right off the bat. If I run the stock injectors, stock fuel pump, what fmu would he best for me? The wastegate spring is 8psi. Not looking to go over that anytime soon. 8psi is the highest amount of boost my Miata will ever see. What ratio would be best for me? 8:1 12:1 can anyone help me out with this please? Also what would I have to do with my timing? Would I have to advance it all and how can this be done? Thanks In advance

If you go cheap you’ll be spending a lot more later. Read a couple threads and you’ll find here there is a process people recommend to properly turboing your miata.
