1991 Mazda Eunos Roadster Turbo Build
Hi All, I'm Ben a 24 Year old Compressor Engineer From Auckland, New Zealand. I purchased a 1991 Mazda Roadster almost three years ago now with the intent on making it a 10 second quarter mile street legal roadster. I had taken my NA6 to the quarter mile before making any modifications so I could get an Idea of a before and after time (Basically the same as the Dieting photos Fat vs Skinny). In Stock form I managed a respectable 17.2. Since then I have been rather busy endeavoring to improve my roadster in all elements. Here are a couple of photo's of what I have done so far. I am aiming for 320Kw at the rear wheels, I have a lot questions and I'm open to constructive criticism.

The Day I purchased my roadster

First Drag racing outing

Replaced the NA6 Diff with a NA8 Cusco Two-way LSD

Stripped out the NA6 running gear

Dropped in my BP Dummy Block for Fabrication purposes

Stripped the Interior and Built a 6 point Rollcage for protection.

Turbo and Exhaust Manifold I fabricated

Along with the down pipe and full exhaust

Fully Built Cylinder Head 272 Kelford Cams, K20A COP's, Corksport cam gears

Custom designed Brake kit Machined by myself

Fitted and Tested to my friends Turbo NA6

And this is where I am currently up to on my build, Finishing the ITB plenum, intercooler pipping and prepping the frame for a total respray as after 23 years the paint isn't too shabby.

Haha trust me I have been down the "learn the hard way" road before with other builds so this one may take longer but at least I know I have built this one to last and preform. However at 450HP that is still a big ask from a 1.8L.
