Default #2248 10ae from Alabama

Hello from Rocket City, Alabama! I am a Mechanical Engineer and break things for a living. I have #2248/7500 1999 10th Anniversary Miata that I run in our local autocrosses (TAC, ALSCCA, Tri-Lakes) and have recently gotten hooked on going to track days (Barber, TGPR, Midpond). They are all within a 2 hour drive, so I'm rather lucky. I had a 97 Miata prepped for STR for 3 years before it got totaled, and now I have my similarly prepped 10ae that my friends scumbag me into buying 2 years ago. Its been a much better and reliable car, and I'm glad I listened to them.
More about the car: 127k miles, 800/500lbs Xida Races, RB front sway bar, 15x9s Konig Dial-Ins with 225 Rs4s and 15x9 Storm S1s with 225 Rivals, Powerstop Trackday pads and rotors, Intake , header, 2.5" exhaust, Megan Racing Radiator, Qmax coolant rerout, Hard dog roll bar, Corbeau FX1 Seat bolted to the floor. I just corner balanced and aligned it and only weighs 2350 with half a tank of gas. and 2592 with me in (yes I'm fat and tall). Locally several of us run in CSP but have a gentleman agreement to not run on r-comps. We just dont want to make it more expensive just to win when we all can still improve a ton on 200utqgs.
Goals for the car are seat time to be a better driver, and win local autocrosses all while still being able to drive the car on nice days and weekend. I'd love to add boost down the road, but feel like seat time is more cost effective to make me faster. But I am slowly saving money and collecting parts to add boost down the road. I love the idea of a Rotrex, but its so hard to argue with the TSE EFR turbos for power and drivability. We will see what is available down the road.

It is you. I'll claim that I know you, and have driven your cars, and liked them.
