I'm a long time lurker from Canberra, Australia who's decided to take the plunge and get in properly over my head.

I've been a mechanical dabbler for a fair while (i've done a clutch, a timing belt, some suspension work and odds and ends like suspension bearings and driveshafts) but have decided to have a go at the holy spinny grail and know i'm going to need some help along the way. - See why i'm expecting to need some help...

I drive a 1.6l 1992 MX5 as my daily, her name is Mia, and am on my way to boosting. At the moment she is close to stock, I've put on bigger wheels and tyres, swapped out the exhaust, moved to lowered springs and put in a wooden steering wheel (perhaps the most important modification). I don't have a set target power level; it's more a case of i've chosen the kit and want to see what it does when properly set up and tuned. At the end Mia will still be my daily, so will be favoring safe over crazy fast.

The end goal is to add a IHI VF13 turbo running on a standalone (Speeduino) with an intercooler. I've got an AEM wideband in the car and the Speeduino will be going in in a week or two. I'll put some pics up here when I have time and will sure to chime in when I run into interesting problems.
