Default Been lurking around since 2011.

I have been lurking around since 2011. And recently I have become active in posting so I guess now I will introduce myself. I am Donald I picked up my first Miata in 2011. It was a stock 2003 LS. By time it died it had an Afco suspension, 15x9 Kosei wheels with 225/45 BFG rivals an Hydra EMS and a few other small things. I now have an 99. I has 15x8 with junk Kumho tires, v-maxx suspension, Full RB exhaust, the Hydra that I had on the 03 and a few other small things.

The 03 when I fist got it

The 03 with the fist set of wheels and the afcos

The 03 at the end

The 99 when I first got it a couple years ago. but with the first set of wheels I had on the 03.

A video of what happend to the 03

I always have the Gopro going. I did not let the police officer know about it after the accident. He put in the report that the other guy was at fault. But when I was dealing with the insurance company they tried to get out of it. They claimed the other guy had a witness saying I was racing and darting in and out of traffic for a few miles before the accident. When I told them about the video the came to see the full version watching from 5 mins before the accident. Then the were willing to cooperate. The first offered $3000. By time negotiations got to the gave me $8000 plus I got to take off the Squaretop and the Hydra ems off the car. The rest of the stuff stayed on the 03 as the rest was damaged too bad.

I am glad that guy didn't get away with it. So what are your plans for the car?

Plans. LOL. More like wants but not sure if I will do it.

What I want to do is the EFR Trackspeed setup Two boost maps. Low boost for Gasoline and Higher boost for E85, built block and head, BMW tranny (kMiata conversion), Gtrag rear conversion.

I already have 1000cc ID and Hydra EMS. .

That is what I want to do. What I end up doing is a different story. At 45 years old not sure if I want to get into it.

Why's that? Plan it out with a friend or someone you know that's interested in tinkering with stuff like this. Do it stepwise over a year or something. It'll be fun!

It's call $$. Not sure if I want to spend it or do the work anymore. Besides I avoid the other Miata owners in this area. Many are snobs and act like Honda guys.

How do you keep a gopro running all the time? Mine has a limited battery life and can't be charged while in the mounting case.

The Frame.; It allows me to keep it plugged in. It's in the above image showing the deflated airbag.

The Revo frame for GoPro on Amazon The Revo frame for GoPro on Amazon

The Revo brand is actually better quality than the GoPro brand. 1/3 the price and last longer.

Back in March I replaced the original vinyl top with a Robbins Canvas. The original was so degraded just putting it up you could hear fibers breaking. Once the top needed replacing the original owner just left the hardtop on.

Frame with vinyl top removed

And the Robbins Canvas installed
