Default Canadian Noob with not so new Miata!!!

Hi everyone.

I guess I'm supposed to introduce myself as SuperFrog...
I'm new to Miataturbo and fairly new to my Miata.

I have been a licensed technician in Canada for many years, and even worked at a Mazda dealer from 1989 to 1992. Since then I've moved to another manufacturer (no names mentioned), and now am in the corporate world for this "other" manufacturer. BTW... The GT-R is really fun when modified to 1500whp.

I have a 1996 Miata (Canadian spec in case there are some differences), with well over 300k on the clock.

The car was purchased in September of 2012 and barely made the 3 hour journey back to my home. The previous owner installed a short hose on the heater line and caused it to bend, blocking off the coolant flow, thus overheating. Needless to say, the head was destroyed.
It was also previously involved in a rear-end collision and although the outside looked "ok", it was far from it. The seams had not been sealed properly and the only thing holding the back end together was the thickness of the paint.

This is how I got to know my Miata.

Pictures of my adventures in vehicle reconstruction can be viewed at the following location:

I'm currently installing an FMII (non-electrics) with AEM Series 2, Injectors, fuel pump, and all the other goodies that go along with positive pressure.

I look forward to bleeding as much information about Turbo Miatas out of each and every one of you in the future.

SF.

Hi Chris, erm, I mean SuperFrog.

Chances are if you can't find the info in a sticky or by searching, then you're not looking for anything Miata and Turbo related. Yes it takes some initiative, but you'll be a wiser person as a result.

Good luck!

Thank you.
I've been reading in this forum since I bought my Miata but have been so busy rebuilding it... Now it's time to BOOST!

Thanks BadGT.
I'll post some of the pics to the Miata gallery rather than posting links.
