hello
Just got my first miata its a '91... been drooling over my friends turbo'ed miata so i decided to sell my '96 240 w/ an s14SR and finally bought one and used the rest of the money to pay my debts... so far no complaints and its a really nimble car... i have to say that this car handles way better than my 240 with a full suspension and multi links...
btw any advice in building a turboed miata.... i was thinking of fully building the block, but the cost turned me away... how much hp can a stock 1.6 block handle?
btw i have heard of coolant reroute on these cars bc of cooling issues... how hard is this task? and do i really need to perform this even with an upgraded radiator?

Guys here are running ~230whp w/o issue on the stock 1.6. Coolant reroute is about balancing the cylinder cooling vs. dropping coolant temps. Rad upgrade depends on the environment, driving and a bunch of other things. You'll know if you need one. There's tons of posts on this site answering all your questions in detail.
