Default First post from Miami

Hello everyone

my name is jonh and as you see this is my firts post. Im trying to learn about turbo set up and that good stuff. I have plans to give me a nice b-day present and turbo my car by january. Im in the miami, kendall to be exact, area and I would like to know if there's anyone running a turbo around the area and if they are willing to share expiriences and info as well as for those out with lots of turbo-knowledge.

For my porject I'll start with the Begi-s kitwith the gt2554, ebay intercooler, upgrade the tires within the 205-225 range (still researching), and lowering springs with some decent shocks (still devation which). I think will make a nice machine till i can afford to put some more money into it.

Please let me hear any comments and suggestions.

Welcome to the forum John. Please put your location below your Avatar and post a pic of your car.

Read the FAQs. You'll get a lot of good info.

There are a couple of members in the Miami area that I'm sure will be willing to help you.

Ad a short mod-list to your signature... important information you left out is what year Miata you have. If it's a 90-93, 205 is as large a tire you want to go with due to the fragility of the stock differential (assuming you have wheels to support such a tire).

I thought Miami was a lowered car's own personal hell... roads suck and lotsa standing water everywhere? Most people start with first suspension mods as shocks and sway-bars... leave the springs for later.

Welcome!

About the shocks which ones are you guys running and which ones do you recommend. I edited my signature but just in case I did something wrong here are my mods (very minor btw)

-91' 1.6L
-Borla Dual
-DIY Cold Intake ...thats all for now

Oh ill post pictures soon
