New dude
Howdy folks, new to this board but have been into the "Miata" thing since they first came out. Bought a '91 new and kept it for several years. Moved to a third gen RX7 and a bunch of cars and trucks since then. I have a fairly mod'd '94 now (see link) and it's time to rebuild the engine due to low compression. I spent a lot of time on miata.net and never knew about this site. This site appears to be a little more DIY which is cool in my book.
Let's see, I'm 42, into cars, guns, scuba diving, etc. Gave up sport bikes when I turned 40 as I felt I was pushing my luck.

Welcome man.
Any plans for the rebuild? CAT rods and some decent pistons/rings plus a little DIY port&polish will help get the most out of your FMII. What turbo are you running? What's the box in the passenger footwell? Might as well start looking for a '99 head to swap onto it.
Be sure to fill out your location in your signature for the locals.
Nice Cardomain... I'll link the pics for you:
FM2 Turbo running at 12lbs boost
FM remote oil filter
Fidenza flywheel w/ Act clutch
Wilwood brakes w/ stainless lines.
FM springs w/ KYB AGX shocks
FM rear shock mounts
Polypro bushings
RB sway bars w/ reinforced mounts
Kosei K1 15x7 215/45/15 Toyo T1S
HardDog HardCore roll bar
Ultrashield Seats w/ back braces
Corbeau 5-pt harnesses
Momo wheel w/ quick-release
FM EGT/AF and boost guages

Thanks for the welcome. The box in the foot-well contains the ECU. I moved it there from behind the seat as the seats are bolted directly to the floor and I wanted to be able to get to the ECU to swap chips, wiring, etc. The driver seat I got even lower by cutting the floor humps out. I'm 6'3" and getting under the roll bar with a helmet was a challenge. It appears that I'm only about 30 miles from you! What are the odds? I'm in Suffolk. Know any good local machine shops for the block?
You know, I don't even know which turbo it is. GT2560? I have read about the '99 heads flowing better but it sounds expensive and hard to find. New head, intake, fuel rail, etc. Still learning about which rods/pistons/etc are the best for what I'm trying to do. Sounds like coated stock pistons are an option as 300-320 hp is my goal.
