Default Forgot to start here... Soon to be Turbo NB

I've already started a build thread and have been asking a few question, but just realized that I forgot to start here. I enjoy cars as a hobby and love the Miata for its simple quality design and the community around it. I purchased my first Miata, a 2000 LS in Emerald Green Mica about 4 or 5 years ago, and my second, a black '99, about 3 years ago, selling it about a few months later (I had purchased it to pull a few parts off of).

Now I am in the process of putting together a DIY turbo kit (build thread). My goal is to have a relatively reliable car that I can daily or road trip if I wish, making somewhere in the neighborhood of 220-250whp. Equally as important, my goal is to learn as well.

As my car stands, it has the following mods, and my thoughts on them:
  • Raceland header: Over all, not bad, although fitment could have been better as it had interference with the transmission tunnel. Not much change in performance. If any, it moved the power band higher up.
  • Roadstersport midpipe: Easy install, seems quality.
  • Cobalt muffler: Quality piece. A little buzzy, and quieter than what I was looking for.
  • Powertrix SS coilovers: Quality construction, but the ride is just too harsh for the roads around here.
  • TR Motorsport C1 16x7 44mm offset: I prefer the look of the Advanti Storm S1's, but I got a great deal on a used sot of these.
  • Federal SS595 205/45R/16: Size is perfect for the wheel setup. For about $61 per tire, I really can't complain, but will probably spend more and get a better tire next time as these are noisy and seem to have less stable sidewalls.
  • Hard Dog Hardcore M2 (hardtop): My only complaint is that my seat belts don't retract as well.
