Default G'day from Down Under

Hello everyone, and a warm Kiwi welcome from New Zealand.

A bit about me, first the confessions I am only half Mazda, here is my favorite toy. It is a Fraser 7 built here in NZ. Currently with a NA6, K26, Motec, OSG twin plate, NA 5spd, (I know) RX7 2way power train. Only 219rwhp at 14psi but still fun in a sub 600kg frame. Soon to have a little refresh with an NB6 and maybe a more modern turbo.

We are out in the country about 20min from two race tracks which really is the best of both worlds and something we are truly grateful for. Here's a couple of shots of our valley in the morning mists:

I am also a bit of a gun nut which is not that common in NZ. This is my grand dad, a proud WW2 vet that sadly passed from us last ANZAC day of all days... and me after one good year on the range with his old rifle in our national team colors. One of life's priceless moments.

Kai kaha (Stand strong) as we say down under.

Nice clean Seven! N. Island I'm guessing? What a great place to be driving a cool ride!

Thank you Tom, spot on. The back roads around here are very nice. New Zealand is pretty much all corners.

Welcome to the forum. We are happy to have another track enthusiast. Many of us are track rats.

I've always had a desire for a seven.

I'v been lucky enough to drive all over both N., and S. Island, but was always in some ****-box rental. Most of the time behind the wheel, I was dreaming of being in a 7, or Elise or Miata. Thanks for your photo's, and the reminder of what a beautiful place NZ is!

As an American, I would like to personally apologize for the red Camaro in your first picture even existing.

Thanks people, it is coming up two weeks into my tenure with that car and I have to say the amount of help I have had from proper living legends both here and our local FB group has been astonishing. Standby for some more mods threads on tweaking up this little beastie. Brotherhoods of the internet will take over the world... You guys rock!
