Hello everyone, I'm Robert from Asheville NC. I bought my first Miata in '99, a '91 which I wrecked and the replacement a '95 in '02. The '91 was originally bought for my ex and she could not muster the coordination to drive a stick so I took the opportunity to park my then daily driven 68 Mustang to do some major work to it and I started to drive the Miata. It was love at first drive. The little red roadster became my escape, I would drive to Boone and all over 221 where there were less cops (back then anyway).

Some months ago I went turbo but did not get it running before I had to go back to work. Im pretty handy with a wrench but suck at computers so when I returned home for leave, I towed my car to the dyno and had it tuned. I know there are more powerful Miatas here but to me she is a rocket. I opted for a FMII Hydra/3071, I also bundled it with the larger 700cc injectors, full 3" turbo exhaust, a 10lb flywheel and a FM Level II clutch.

Yes he did! Joseph did a phenomenal job, i couldn't be happier with the results! I would love to meet up with you guys but i wont be back home for leave till some time in the fall. i will favourite that link you posted and keep an eye out for when i get back.

Howdy Robert, nice looking car and numbers, too. I was just in Asheville a couple weeks ago around a visit to my dad in Sylva...really made me sad that I was half an hour from the Dragon and a zillion other great roads with only a Honda CRV to drive One day I'll get the nerve up to drive the Miata over there.

i love this area, i havent had the chance to hit the dragon yes but i hear they have dropped the speed limit again down to 25 in some parts and it is now heavily patrolled by some fairly aggressive officers. like you say tho there are many other kick ---s roads.

 

Jason, I see you guys have an event coming up on 5/2. im not planning on racing i just want to go check it out and meet you guys. will that be ok?
