Default Greetings from TX

Picked up my 1996 Miata back in Nov last year. Some friendly fellows in Houston decided it would be fantastic if they took my Civic off my hands over Thanksgiving weekend. Walked out to my car only to find it missing.
So long story short, always wanted a Miata so the time was right. Purchased it from an older couple just outside Austin. They had only put 1000 miles on it in the 2 years they owned it.
Over the last few months I've made slow progress. Short list of the mods thus far.
Chaser hardtop (yes it leaks)
XidaS with 750/450 springs
949 racing swaybar kit
Rota K7 wheels with RS3 tyres
6 speed trans
90-93 dash
Momo Mod78 wheel
urethane motor mounts/delrin diff mounts
torsen swap

I'm having a blast with it.
Pictures of the day I got it and as it currently sits. Please excuse the crappy photos. Haven't really gotten a chance to get some decent photos.

You are one lucky stiff. Looks like a nice ride and its not a civic.

Welcome.

Hope all the plans come together.

Welcome. Thanks for the pics. I hate when there are welcome threads without any info. I'll give props for that! Looks like you've got a good start. It's time to get an ecu!

thanks guys. I'm really enjoying this forum over others. very technical based.
right now I'm just working on getting the suspension finished up. Looking into the ISC full bushing set next. Plans down the line include a small turbo. This is the first non-Honda I've owned so I'm coming from a world of big power N/A engines. So I'm looking for something that will keep really good throttle response but give me ~200whp and be reliable on a road course. For now I'll just keep scouring the forum, learned as much as possible. More updates to come as I make progress.

Welcome to the forum. Your car is ready for some serious boost man! What made you go 6-speed? I'll trade you (transmissions)

I'm actually in Killeen (about an hour north of Austin)

I went with the 6 speed because I felt like the 5 speed was too tall. Coming from Hondas and an s2000 I'm used to shorter gearing and don't mind the extra shifting that comes from the shorter gears. I noticed a lot of people don't like the shorter ratios but I felt like it was one of the best things I've done to the car so far (besides the shocks).
