Hello from Asheville, NC
Hello All,
Just a note here to introduce myself. My name is James and I recently traded a clean '96 Acura TL for a decent 91 Miata. I've always loved these little cars since working at a Mazda dealership back in the early 90s. Hope to learn a bunch more stuff here through many searches rather than stupid questions. If anyone here is located in WNC, ETN, or upstate SC shoot me a msg. I'd like to check out your car and have a few beers.
Thanks.
-James

Great to have you on board. Put you location in your profile so it shows under your name and that will help locals get to know you.
Feel free to post some pics of your new ride here in your introductory thread. We'd love to see them.
The big thing that gets new guys in trouble around here is asking questions that have been asked a million times before. The FAQ is a good place to start for general questions about turbocharging our cars.

Whats up man. I am in Spartanburg. I come to Ash all the time. If you need any help just let me know. I travel a lot and I stay very busy. But, theres always room in the month to help another miata progress to greatness.
Currently not turbo. But, I have been boosted since 99 (About all of my cars).

I love Asheville. I am from Johnson City TN, and I knew some people that went to mars hill. So cool, small world. Send me some chocolates frum yer place down town and we will be best buddies. If i get back in town, i will head down there and we can meet up at the Bier Garden (I love that place). So my brother lives in Johnson city, and i have a **** ton of parts there (for a 95) and I know of a place up around there that has a junk yard with only miatas (about 50-60). That is cheap. So yeah, welcome. You needz moar boost.

I am assuming you attend ETSU? I was a music ed major there. 421 is a decent road too, so is the one that goes from Elizabethton to Shady Valley. Cops have infested the dragon and 421 though, but i know of some good roads between Burnsville NC and Irwin TN, 19w, 197, and 226. Those are my little secrets around there, no ricers or bikers to screw them up.

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome. I've been without internet for a bit so sorry for the late reply. There are a lot of great roads around here to be sure. Unfortunately I've only had time to cruise the parkway on occasion between Fairview and Weaverville and some back roads up in Madison County. Love to get out and hit some more soon. I hear 64 is a great run out near Franklin up to Highlands.

Yeah haha. When I tell my friends my dad lives in the NC mountains they look at me like I'm nuts. And while there are lots of great roads out here, the mountains aren't anywhere near as populated, so there are fewer places to have fun by virtue of fewer paved roads existing. Every time I'm back in Sylva it seems like there's a never ending supply of curves to tackle.
