How do you like the RPF1s, and how do they compare to what you had before.

I'm considering a set if the lighter weight is really noticeable.

Well, I'm a huge fan of the 15x7 (don't ask) so if we're talking that size then no, it's not noticeable as much as it would be for a 16 or 17 rim. However, if you know your car inside and out you'll notice that you can carry a bit more speed going into your corner and throughout if it's a flat corner, but if you're engine is torque-happy you'll have to mess with your ***-end to keep the inside wheel from spinning (a couple pounds less of unsprung rotational mass is enough to mess with your ideal slip settings).

If it's for the street then any rim under 15 pounds should do just fine (again, for a 15x7). I had Mazdaspeed MS-01R's on it before these. Those rims were about 16.8 or so pounds according to Mazda. My RPF-1 (15x7) wrapped in a 205/50 RT615 tyre weighs 18.3 pounds per corner with 31 pounds cold in each tyre. They're definitely worth the money if you're going to run them on the track. I have no complaints so far.
