Default Hello and help me

Im selling my Rhd wrx wagon and plan on building a miata....I plan on boosting it...car will not be my DD....what is the best year to buy? im thinking i want to be in high 2-300 hp range...thanks

You should search around as this has been posted a million times. Most would say a 94. If you wanted a NB I would say a 99-00. Now go use google and the search function on this website and learn some ****

94' with a 99 engine and a 6 speed attached to a torsen diff.

+1! If I had to do it again, I would go with a 94-early 95. It's a 1.8 but still OBD 1 so engine management is a little simpler and has the larger differential already. General consensus is the 99 head flows better also.

post another two-words-or-less post and i'm going to ban you for a week.



any year miata will need a built motor once you're talking high 200 rwhp. pick the model you like best and that is in your budget. otherwise it doesn't matter. suspension and drivetrain stuff is virtually interchangable from 90-2004.

I'd say most of us here are somewhere between 2 and 300 horsepower.

Which is best depends on your goals and budget, and personal taste. More info is needed.
