Hello everyone. I've got a 92 Miata that I'm planing on putting a 1.8 in and turboing. I look forward to learning a lot. The Miata is my first sports car. I'm a motorcycle guy mostly.

 

Well, you arent far off then... the Miata is just a Lateral 2 seater motorcycle with 4 wheels. lol

Definitely good Thinking with the 1.8 and Turbo though. Keep reading, and you will find anything and everything you could possibly need to assist you with your swap and build!

I pick up what looks like an auto cross car from auction. It's a 2002. Had all kind of good parts on it. Just pulled the engine last week.

 

Welcome, sounds like you got a jump start with that purchase. Good luck with the swap, just a heads up, the '01> has a VVT head (requires 91 oct.) and you need the matching computer. The '00< is an easier swap from what I've read and the compression is friendlier to the turbo install.

Be sure to take lots of pics as you tear down and build up!
