Default Hello from Israel

Hello everybody, I'm from Israel and I have purchased my 98' 1.8 (same as 97') NA about a year ago. As for today it's pretty much stock.
Recently thinking about making it more racy and a bit slammed. Found the forums here very helpful.

In general this is what I've been thinking about:
- Coilovers
- Wider rims
- Torsen 1 or 2 Diff instead of the open one
- Boost it to 12psi on the stock engine. Possibly using the FM2 kit
- Clutch
- Radiator
- Exhaust system

Wish me luck

Welcome to the forum. Don't slam the car, it really ruins the handling and it will ride like **** on roads any less than perfect. A good suspension setup is good, if your on a budget i'd look into a bilstein setup like this:

Also, make sure you modify it in stages, something like:

1) any and all maintenance that's due
2) roll bar/chassis stiffening/coils
3) brakes/clutch/ms/injectors
4) turbo setup

This way you ensure the car can handle the increased power, and really it's the best way to enjoy the car while building it.

Definitely the turbo setup would be later.
Regarding the suspension, I'm on a budget indeed so I was thinking about "V-MAXX Xxtreme" coilovers that I can get for $650. About the same price as the Bilsteins B6 struts with Chinese coilovers. You think the Bilstein setup would be a better choice?
