It seems like there is really not alot of Miata action here in Minneapolis, MN which is a bummer. Oh well. Looks like I'll be tapping forums alot.

 

welcome and hello from MPLS. Not sure what you mean by not a lot of Miata action. There is a local club where most members are 50 and act even older

Come to a local autcross event, you'll see lots of Miatas

 

I assumed not alot of action based on the Miata Club of MN being a really inactive forum.


I hope get into autocross, but unfortunately can only attend the more rare Saturday events, as I host a radio show on Sunday afternoons. Hopefully there I can meet a few more folks and tap into some know how.

I've seen the local regions split up the runs groups so that you're only there for the first half or the second half of the day. For example group 1 runs, then works for group 2 in the AM, while group 2 works for 1, then runs in the AM. You might suggest something like that to your region. Also check with the porsche club- the local PCA region here held regular autoXes and always had spots open for non-marque cars.
