Default Hello from Philly

Recently purchased a 2000 base model with ~32k miles. Spent some time on miata.net, but they seem a bit.... "oem". No turbo yet, want to learn how to drive it properly first, and have almost all my cash earmarked for a upcoming house purchase. Will likely sit back, read, and do supporting mods for a year or so, then add some power.

Car the day of purchase with super-thrilled wife:

Other car, 92 Volvo 940 with 15G, much faster in a straight line but feels like a boat the rest of the time now. Oddly, I've only ever owned 940's, so the Miata is an entirely new beast to me.

Loving that I now have a car that doesn't require tons of one-off parts, lots of trial and error, etc. No one sells plug 'n play turbo kits for the Volvo.. Not sure that I'm willing to pay the extra cost for a premade solution though. At least I have time to decide, and a little experience.

Welcome! I'm not too far away... I'm in south jersey. Start reading build threads.... That was the easiest way I found to gain the most knowledge
