Hello from San Jose,CA - Los Banos,CA!
Hello! I haven’t been on any forums since 2007. This will be my first time joining any online forum. Originally from Club4AG & Norcaldrift.org
I’ve just got on to club roadster and Miata.net as well. But perhaps the way I’m situated with the ol’ silver spur (‘90 NA6), I believe forced induction will be in my future.
I wanted to say hello and put down a list of items on the car #fyp and for future reference. It’s very exciting to be a part of a car community again, it has been many years since I’ve done something like this. On a personal level this is quite thrilling to join a group of like minded individuals. my wife and I had children young, so I’ve veered off the beaten path of my love of cars to my love of family. Thank you MiataTurbo.net!, here’s the list!
1990 Miata with 330k on chassis. Purchased through a great buddy of mine. Roughly 5k miles on the rebuilt engine.
Currently will be needing the Torsen 1.8 upgrade as My main focus. She’s no shiner (not yet) but she’s got charm.

Bro. You and me are in the same boat. Just joined. Never been a part of a forum before. Just posted my build. The car was built by a member about a decade ago. I'm the 5th owner. I wanted to let the veterans know it hadn't been wrapped around a tree, or scrapped.
8.1:1 compression!? wow dude. You're looking to slap an 80mm turbo on the side of that engine. Looks like you're about ready for one, that's for sure. I didn't see an MS2 in your build list. I assume its "on the list". Not sure why your shifter and parking brake are hot. Maybe you don't have a shift boot insulator? Is your exhaust routed right next to the brake cable or something? I used to have heat bleeding through the transmission tunnel at the foot well, next to the center console, but then I wrapped the downpipe. Never had any temp issues with the shifter or e-brake lever. I at least need a roll bar in my car (its on my list). A cage is a little too much for me. I'm a sucker for PWS. I had manual steering in a civic I owned years ago. No more 2-handed parking for me . If I went manual steering, I would get a manual rack. The gearing makes it easier to turn. Good luck getting a new wiper motor. I'm sure she needs one (my 90 does). Rock Auto does a reman service, but that's about the best you can get these days. I cant seem to find anyone who stocks one. Looks like its in pretty good shape, all things considered. I need to get on the ball with my 90. I have a 1.8 block and head in my shed, it just needs to be built. I need a full intake for it. The 1.6 in the car is leaking oil like mad, and the piston rings are just about shot. I might work on all of it this spring/summer. I've dumped most of my time and energy on my NB. But its pretty much where I want it now. The NA looks better, but is much slower and has its own list of issues. At least I won't have to pull the subframe this time to change the oil pan gasket
