Hey there. Figured I'd actually join up instead of just lurking. I don't know if I'll have any actual questions based off the sheer amount of info on this site already, but I'd like to at least introduce myself. Usually go by Cam, out of Charlotte, NC, work on Honda's all day, and drive a '97 Montego blue Miata. Bone stock at the moment.

Planning to turbo it at some point. I'm super broke so I don't know when it'll actually happen, but I'm thinking I'll start looking into classified's and trying to snag some deals as they come. Would also love to do some suspension stuff.

I'd LIKE to hit around 200whp, but I've never even driven a turbo Miata yet, so 160-180whp might be much more than enough. I need to join a club... If there's a good club here in NC somewhere, I'd love to show up!

Welcome Cameron! I just moved from Pittsburgh down to Mocksville 2 months ago but I do know several Miata people in the general area from events like Boone and MATG. MIB is 9/24-9/27 this year and it's one of the best Miata gatherings of the year, you should highly consider attending!

 

That sounds fantastic! I haven't been to Boone in a long time. I may have to attend.
