Very true...

It does seem that the transmission is more of a consumable than would be preferred, but I guess would be expected as it is a stock part when compared to the built engines and what not most people are running.

At least transmissions and differentials are relatively cheap and plentiful (I came from a BMW -- M Roadster, to be exact, where nothing was cheap or plentiful).

I've been on the look out for cheap 6 speeds locally while regularly perusing the threads that have TII swap information.
