I never formally introduced myself when I joined the forum. My name is Dawson and I'm based out of Lenexa, Kansas.
I have a 1993 1.6 turbo Miata as my project car.
My setup before I pulled the engine was as follows;

MSPNP2
FM Manifold/outlet/downpipe
Bosch EV14 550cc injectors
ISR T25 42MM
ARP Headstuds
FM Happy Meal Level 1 kit.
HKS Super SQV4 BOV
CXracing alum rad
Mishimoto fan + shroud setup
ISR 2.5" exhaust
Stock motor.

Unfortunately I got rodknock after a short while of owning the car/getting it running.
​​​​​​So now I am sourcing another 1.6 to swap in.

 

 

Consider this a great time to switch to a 1.8.

 

Please listen to six, and ryan. Go 1.8, depending on the source, you're paying barely more for a better platform.

 

This is why you need to swap in a 1.8 now.
