We're not really an appearance/style group here, but I must say, you're pretty darn good with that airbrush.
Incidentally, during deployments, the corrosion control boys come out with their rattlecans and spray all the fastener heads with different, mismatched flat grays. The other thing that happens is that ground crew walk all over the wings and top of the fuselage with boots covered in grease and hydraulic fluid, so you end up with lots of footprints. The one thing you really need is a Bureau Number. An old F-4 would probably have a 15#### number. Were USMC F-4 squadrons VMF or VMFA? I know they are all VMFA now with Hornets. I was in VFA-83 (Rampagers/Saratoga). |

I like it. Except the stance. That's just stupid, and the look is soooooo copycat of every other stanced stupid miata on this planet. You have a good unique thing going for the looks of it. But the stance kills it.
Now swap in an LS powered V8, with a turbo and make it act as cool as it looks. |
I don't know about those license plates man, looks like a ton of added weight for no reason. You need to make this thing powerful, because stock 1.6 is fail-aids.

Seems I also forgot the much needed quick release hub/racing steering wheel combination. Gotta have one of those for hardparking.

I'm ashamed that I think he did a pretty good job. the exhaust is pretty gross to me but I kind of like the rest. I feel dirty.
With that said. I'd never ever, ever, ever, ever, own or drive that. If I did it would need a turbo charged LS w/ 1200hp to make up for it's jdm tightness. I think i'd still be ashamed to drive it though. I'm also not 20 anymore and Wake up at 5am every morning and go to bed by 11 at the latest. M-F workin da grind babeh! |
On a second look. If it was turboed and didn't have the plates on it and was a little less hella cool I would drive it around in public.

Don't mind the haters. And if you're serious about doing a turbo, I recommend thick skin and sticking around. You're a Viking descendant after all. There is a wealth of knowledge here and the poking is part of the fun. |
If you want to make the car fast and handle corners well, this is the place to be. If you want to learn about making lots of reliable power, this is the place to be.

There's still a chance it can be saved. The paint job is cool, so if all of the hellastupid was removed and replaced with things that make the car faster/handle better than an '82 Oldsmobile with flat tires it would be a nice car.
Maybe OP is the one guy who will actually take a swagtasticjdmyo shitbox and turn it into something functional. I'm not holding my breath. Because "hater" yo. |

Genuinely good airbrush skills: Win Applied to making a Norwegian Miata ape a US Marine jet: Fail Rat Rod "stolen tags" door cards and Fender: Win, on a Rat Rod. (Well, either door cards *or* fender on a Rat... Even on a Rat, Both: Fail) On a Miata, and one with (inexplicably) a US military theme: Fail. Epic. Nice Sparcos: Win. In a stock street car: Fail. A fair amount of work in the suspension in a short time: Win. Making the car hellaflush: Fail. Norwegian guy! Diversity!: Win. Butt-hurtish Norwegian guy: Fail. I think the fails have it. But I'm still sort of sad that he's gone off; like a lot of these n00bs, I think that it might be cooler to go a little easier on them initially. Y'know, it's not like anyone individually is especially obnoxious to them (well, besides Vlad :fawk:) but for the recipient, in totality, it's gotta be like a public stoning. Hence, butthurtism. I came up in the skating world, and have always been amazed at how generously and warmly Groms and Noobs are welcomed into the scene. He's in the right section, posting pics, discussing modifications, and talking about his goals. If you don't like his style, great. If it is different, so what? It obviously required some effort, like it or not. It's the Meet and Greet section, after all. Say hello, ask questions, or click the back button, it doesn't matter, but none of you that I've met in person act that way to someone who walks up and says hello.
